Wi-Fi Data App

1.0 - Company Configurations

This page allows you to set a company-wide policy for newly-allocated devices.
Note that the settings will only apply for new allocations - Existing devices on the account will not be affected by any changes made here.

  Setting Options Description
1. WiFi Module Public

- The device's WiFi module is ON
- The WiFi SSID broadcasts publicly and is searchable
- Technicians will be able to search for and connect to the device via WiFi SSID

Private - The device's WiFi module is ON
- The WiFi SSID is not broadcasted (hidden network)
- Technicians can attempt connecting to the device if they know the WiFi SSID and password
Disabled - The device's WiFi module is OFF
- No connection via WiFi SSID is possible
2. Data Collection ON - Enables collection of WiFi counting data
OFF - No WiFi counting data will be collected
*If WiFi Module is Disabled, Data Collection will always be OFF
3. Default Settings When Device Is Allocated Street Detection Range Adjustment of WiFi detection range for outside traffic based on store location
- Level 1 - Alleyway (smallest range)
- Level 2 - Narrow Street
- Level 3 - Main Street
- Level 4 - Shopping District (largest range)
Entrance Detection Range Adjustment of WiFi detection range for visitors based on entrance size
- Level 1 - Low Entrance (smallest range)
- Level 2 - High Entrance
- Level 3 - Double Doorway
- Level 4 - Extended Frontage (largest range)

 

2.0 - Data Tuning

This page allows you to set a site-wide policy for the selected site's main entrance and currently online devices.
Note that the settings will apply to all devices currently allocated to the site, which are considered main entrance and online devices. This does not include newly allocated devices, which will follow the Company-Wide Policy.

The newly configured settings will take around 1-2 minutes to apply to the devices.

2.1 Device List

You can check the applied changes and the past settings by accessing this tab. In the device list you will be able to see the following configurations:

3Is WiFi DisabledIf WiFi Data Collection is disabled.
4Is WiFi Module DisabledIf WiFi Module on device is disabled.

6Shopper Metrics Detection RangeWiFi detection range for visitors

There will be logs available to check per device on this page. Below is a short explanation of each status:

Status NameDescription
1Pending Device to Receive RequestThe server has sent the request to change the parameters to the device.
2Pending Device to Apply ParameterThe device has received the request but has not applied the parameters yet.
3Parameter Applied SuccessfullyThe device has applied the parameters successfully.
4Failed to Apply ParameterThe device has failed to apply the parameters. If this appears in the logs, please try to apply the parameters again. If this continues to occur, do raise a support ticket to our technical team.
