Our people counter would be installed on the ceiling in the middle of a doorway, facing down perpendicularly in order to count people coming in or going out when they pass by the counter. The counter should be installed as close to the door as possible so that it does not pick up activity from inside the store by mistake, which could affect the counting accuracy (usually we intall counters 1m away from the door).
